Never was particularly close to either of my grandmothers growing up, but this photo brought on some feels. Happy memories of Steph and I attempting to be good granddaughters, accompanying Mama Lily on her favourite pastime of window shopping + afternoon tea.

I think we took a bus from Onan to Chinatown then back to Katong, and stopped over at Parkway Parade for this shot. 

This reminds me of a story. more stories.  

Of how we took turns on some Sundays to accompany her to KPC while trying hard not to doze off lol. 

And... the "project stayover at Onan Resort" days, to accompany scary-cat mama while the Ongs were away on their family trip. Of serving her kopi with her pills in the morn,  having chocolate tart at EwF, a random Taiwanese food dinner, fairly frequent double-boiled soup at Mama's favourite Malaysian-owned zhichar shop.OH and enjoying the luxury of spaceee + novelty of a new running route

Lily wasn't the most affectionate of nurturing grandma, but she was cool- left us pretty much on our own I think LOL. Always fondly sharing about Robert, never tired of flipping through old photo albums. Never shy about posing for photos hehe. 

 Don't quite rmb what kind of gifts she bought for our bday & x'mas but I rmb her handwritten notes, something along the lines of "Dearest XX, Happy birthday. May you grow to love God more....and serve him..."
